Our Mission
I AM ME 2 is a nonprofit that provides food, clothing, education, and housing to teen girls and women from underserved communities.
Our logo represents the journey of growth through I AM ME 2, Inc. from a dark place of hopelessness to a flourishing thriving productive life. The leaves at the end of the cycle of growth represents prosperity.
Our Founder
CONNIE POWELL is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born and raised by wonderful parents Annie and Moses Jenkins who were instrumental in instilling the concept of
giving, to help to awaken me to the work of “helping others.”
As an adult. I realized the power of community and inclusiveness as I became involved in spearheading and developing events and platforms focused on feeding and clothing poverty stricken families in underserved locations.
With today’s ever growing challenges and need for food, clothing along with mentoring through education, my vision of providing help has expanded along with these needs. The formulation of a grassroots movement to help was imminent; thus I AM ME 2, Inc. was born.
